Products and systems for the protection and decoration of floors and pavements, usually in concrete, but also in cement, tiles, terrazzo or other materials.
Systems composed generally of one or more layers, designed according to the requirements to be fulfilled.
In general, a first layer is designed on a perfectly prepared, repaired and stabilized, firm and dry substrate (see explanatory note).
Depending on the number of layers and the thickness of the layers, all necessary levels of protection can be achieved.
1. Primers – These are the first layers that are applied on the prepared support. Its mission is to provide adherence and compatibility. By the type of material, they can be divided into primers for porous substrates, and for closed substrates.
2. Intermediate layers – These are the layers of resistance applied to support the weight of the pavement loads. They are usually self-leveling coatings, which are applied in high thickness. Occasionally these layers can be left without applying other finishes.
3. Finishing layers – Apply directly to the primers or self-leveling layers, although in some cases they serve as a directly applied system on the floor or floor, depending on the performance to be obtained and the type of substrate.
